Sam Adams Grumpy Monk Belgian Ale

Pours brilliantly clear golden amber color with moderately dense white head and nice lacing. Aroma initial was mostly Belgian with clove with a slight mustyness but as it warmed I also got some fruityness like orange as well as some pine. The taste blew me away. Very complex with some honey like malt sweetness mixed with pine. There was a lot going on in the taste and I had a hard time putting it into words because it seemed to change so quickly as your tongue was bombarded with flavors. There was also a citronella like note and tangerine taste as well. It was very long lasting and left a slightly sweet taste in the mouth while also having a bitterness to it. I was really impressed by this beer!
