McMenamin's Spiced Sailor Kris Kringle Christmas Ale

This brew was sampled during a Limited-Edition Beer Tasting at the Cornelius Pass Roadhouse on December 28, 2011.

Maggie: This is an interesting Christmas brew. The seasonings, particularly a clove flavor, remain strong throughout. An aroma of cinnamon and clove presents at the nose. Though hops are prominent, they are not overpowering. It mellows through the middle of the palate and then leaves only the spices and a little bitterness at the end. Interesting, different, enjoyable. But I'm not sure that I would order a second pint.

Jim: Nice head and cling on the glass. High marks for innovation and originality. Despite the somewhat clunky name, this is a very noble example of a spiced Christmas Ale.
