Redwood Curtain Belgian Red Red Ale

Jim: Redwood Curtain--the little brewery that could. We're here in their tasting room in a warehouse in an industrial park on a Tuesday evening and the place is full. Their own take on a Red Ale is typically Belgian, and typically way above par. Brownish-red color, thin head with little cling on the glass, but a satisfying palette of maltiness with a hop presence from front to back. It's like they took an excellent recipe for Red Ale and just brewed it with Belgian yeast. Brilliant!

Maggie: I agree with everything Jim said. I really love the forward presence of the hops smoothed by the Belgian flavor in the middle. At the end of the taste, both the hops and Belgian flavor persist.
