Weihenstephaner Korbinian Doppelbock

From the oldest continuously brewing brewery in the world (since 1040). A clear, dark brown with ruby highlight. Off-white/tan head formed easily, but faded to thin layer with sparse, sliding lace. Dark chocolate, sweet, and roasted, bready malt aroma. Same for taste plus caramel, orange, prune and a lingering coffee, pepper, and hop bitterness on the finish. Lot of body and silky mouthfeel with enough carbonation to keep palate ready for next taste.
