Telling Lies by Paul Ekman

True story. Very interesting and heartbreaking. About twin boys born, one whose circumcision was badly botched and had to have penis removed. Parents urged to raise him as a little girl and the surgeries performed and discussion about future surgeries performed to complete the gender changing process. Also about the doctor who handled the case and diid surgeries for what turns out to be for his own gain. All this taking place in mid-60s to late-60s when gender reassignments were in their infancy.
