Nice crimson color, deep purple colors and no signs of browning or oxidation. Medium legs for this 13.5%alc wine. Nice nice, classic old world nose showcasing a little meatiness (prosciuotto), fennel, black licorice, cherry, plum,some all spice, and a settle hint of blackberry. On the palate, firm tannins coat the teeth and mouth, sour cherry, licorice, gentle hint of fennel, cherry pit with some slightly unripe raspberries.
