Dogfish Head World Wide Stout American Double/Imperial Stout
(4.5 stars)

Bottled in 2010, this stout pours to a deep beautiful black with a thin head. On the nose I get roasted malt, a fair amount of booze, and chocolate. This is one serious stout! I'm getting roasted malt, caramel, coffee, oak, chocolate, vanilla, and some molasses like sweetness as well. It has a slight warming sensation from the alcohol but not what you would expect from an 18% Abv brew. It has a thick, chewey mouthfeel that's full of complex flavors that become even more intriguing as the beer warms. Fantastic.
